In the organiser's words
Quoted from elmolinocrea.com and checked on 1 September 2026. This is the organiser's description, reproduced as captured. It has not been through the evidence checks that produced the figures above.
A large house surrounded by nature is an ideal space for creating and sharing. El Molino is a place that believes in the power of long conversations and the synergies that arise from them. In the midst of this fast-paced society, the need for a refuge where one can take out a guitar and sing by the fire is urgent. A pen and paper, some watercolors, a chair under a tree, or a moment of silence can heal us, save us, bring us closer together.
The aim is for guests to find a peaceful and tranquil space that fosters their creative process, as well as enriching themselves through conversations and exchanges with the other residents.
From one week to one month. Open call from first may 2026 to end october 2026
We offer accommodations for three artists simultaneously, each with a private room with working space. The remaining spaces are shared: large kitchen, spacious living room, two bathrooms, porch, patio, and numerous outdoor areas.
The place is ready to host: Writers (novels, poetry, short stories, essays, plays, projects, songs, etc.) Editors. Musical composition. Photography and/or audiovisual projects. Illustration. *Other disciplines that are suitable for the space and living arrangements. The house has a library, musical instruments, and board games. A large table for after-dinner conversation. The spaces are designed to encourage communication and sharing with other guests. The resident artist will be present to enhance the experience.
The residency offers multiple common workspaces for digital projects and writing. Artists are also welcome to set up outdoors on the property to work amidst nature. Additionally, each private bedroom includes a desk for quiet, personal workspace.
This residence doesn’t receive any external funding. The spaces are maintained thanks to the financial contribution of the guests. For stays of one week (6 nights) €320 per person. For stays of two weeks (14 nights) €560 per person. Ask for longer stays.
We ask our guests to respect the way of life in this place surrounded by nature. We collect rainwater and recycle wastewater. We minimize our use of plastics. We do not use chemicals. We value silence. Smoking is not permitted indoors. We respect the rest of other guests by setting schedules for the use of common areas.
