In the organiser's words

What the official page says.

Quoted from belgradeartistinresidence.wordpress.com and checked on 31 August 2026. This is the organiser's description, reproduced as captured. It has not been through the evidence checks that produced the figures above.

Residency is a tailor-made hybrid art residency, a virtual and in-person experience. Our team at Belgrade AIR offer conceptual and curatorial guidance, ensuring that you receive valuable feedback and follow-up on your work and instead of in-person community spaces, we are offering support through weekly 2 hours each, virtual meetings via Zoom where artists can connect with an international community and get feedback on their projects from our curators and other artists.

This allows for ongoing networking, collaboration, and artistic exchange. You will have a private apartment which is a living and working space, virtual program support with curatorial guidance, introductions to international artists, social media visibility, and dedicated support from the BAIR team. Your artistic profile will also be featured on our website and social media.

Duration

Usually artists stay one month, but if you want to stay longer or shorter, please contact us

Accommodation

Accommodation is a separate small apartment as you will see in the pictures, and it is in a new building in a residential area, close to the center of the city. The artist lives and works in the accommodation and there is no separate studio or gallery space available.

Disciplines & equipment

We welcome artists from various disciplines to participate in our program. We encourage you to apply whether you work in painting, sculpture, photography, performance, or any other artistic medium. Our team is available to offer conceptual and curatorial guidance virtually throughout the residency. As part of the residency, we offer a range of benefits, including curatorial follow-up, introductions to international artists community through online meetings once a week over zoom, and visibility through our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram), support from the BAIR team, and the opportunity to have your artist profile featured on our website.

Studio

The artist lives and works in the accommodation and there is no separate studio or gallery space available.

Fees & support

We are an artist-run and self-supported artist in residence and we don’t have any grants for now. The artist is paying all fees for the program and his living expenses. We encourage artists to apply for a grant, to cover their stay more easily. We can send you an invitation letter for that purpose. Please email for more information at belgradeair@gmail.com

Expectations

BAIR is a self-directed environment where you dictate the direction of your artistic journey and we are here to assist and support you virtually. Please communicate any specific needs or project requirements to us in advance. The artist doesn’t have to produce or finish the work during the residency, it can be only a research project. We invite you to approach this experience with an open mind, ready to share ideas, give and receive constructive feedback, and explore new artistic possibilities together.

How to apply

To apply, please send us your portfolio with short CV and social handles to email belgradeair@gmail.com with short letter of what are you planing to do during your stay. Once your application is reviewed and accepted, we will provide further details about the program and guide you through the next steps. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.email belgradeair@gmail.com
