The Beatilla Sanctuary: Art, Earth & Expression invites international contemporary artists to apply for our seasonal residency program in Mantua, Italy. Located within the innovative and sustainable Agriturismo Beatilla—recognized as one of Italy’s leading eco-friendly farmhouses—this residency offers a unique space where nature, upcycling, and color therapy merge. The program is designed for visual artists, painters, and creators who wish to disconnect from urban routines and immerse themselves in a stimulating rural environment.
At the heart of the residency is the professional art studio of contemporary artist Luca Bornoffi, which becomes a shared sanctuary for artistic cross-pollination, research, and production. Residency Objectives – Reconnection: To provide artists with the time and space to reconnect with the natural rhythm of the earth (living beside an ancient woodland and an organic farm). – Exploration: To encourage the investigation of color, eco-design, and the alternative use of recycled materials (upcycling). – Exchange: To foster a deep creative dialogue between the resident artists and the founder’s studio practice.
