Discount As a not-for-profit association we are committed to fostering meaningful artistic development, I’m pleased to offer this special discount for the 2026 season to help make the residency more accessible! With over 35 years of experience working alongside artists, I understand the profound impact of having the right environment, time, space, and thoughtful support, to focus and advance your practice. Whether you’re at the beginning of your career or an established artist seeking renewed clarity and momentum, we welcome you.

This residency is designed for dedicated creatives ready to engage fully, work with purpose, and make meaningful progress in their practice. About the Residency Nestled at the foot of the Alpilles, our residency is housed in a lovingly restored 17th-century olive mill, where rustic stone and original beams meet elegant, eclectic interiors. The spacious 100-square-metre studio opens onto fragrant gardens—a sanctuary for creativity, imagination, and cultural exchange.

An adjacent conservatory-style 12-metre pool, embraced by lush ferns, colonial furnishings, and vibrant, garden-hued cushions, invites morning yoga, gentle or more rigorous exercise, and soothing late-night dips before sleep beckons. Dining spaces are tucked beneath trailing vines, within courtyards blooming with wildflowers, and alongside gardens filled with rosemary, lavender, and the heady magic of spring. Multiple kitchens and a thriving herb garden support our farm-to-table ethos, with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients at the heart of every meal.

Cooking here is guided by a deep love of freshness; each dish generous, vibrant, and thoughtfully composed, celebrating simplicity, flavour, and nourishment. A sweeping 30-metre gallery, alive with art and the quiet presence of a piano, completes this immersive haven—crafted to inspire connection, creation, and community. Offerings The residency runs from March to November and offers four flexible pricing options, starting at €1,000 per person before discount.

Each residency includes: Accommodation and half-board dining Access to a car and bicycles Dedicated studio space with professional workstations, easels & projectors Farm-to-table dining, communal dinners, soirées, and performance evenings Professional development, mentorship, exhibition opportunities, and cultural outings Our not-for-profit program is committed to fostering the growth of multidisciplinary artists by offering space for respite, inspiration, and deep creative exploration to empower emerging voices and help them realise their artistic vision.

Professional Development Beyond offering a dedicated and inspiring creative environment, the residency provides tailored one-to-one mentorship designed to support the unique ambitions and challenges of each artist. This comprehensive guidance covers key aspects of a professional artistic career, including gallery representation, contract negotiations, exhibition planning, portfolio development, grant applications, and broader career strategy.

The aim is to empower artists to navigate the complexities of the art world with confidence and strategic insight. The rhythm of Provence encourages moments of pause and clarity, fostering reflection and renewed focus. Yet, the residency’s expectation remains resolute: artists are invited to engage with their practice seriously, make significant progress, and produce work of depth, integrity, and lasting impact. Through this integrated approach, the residency nurtures not only the creative process but also the professional growth essential for sustaining a successful artistic career.

Duration of residency Minimum 2 weeks, maximum 4 weeks. Accommodation Moulin de Gréoux caters to a maximum of six creative residents at any time and offers both private rooms, shared accommodation and a self contained stone cottage, the maison des amis in the surrounds of the 17th century olive mill. An all inclusive farm to table dining experience is provided.
