Twenty-four day Residencies. Shorter program arrangements can be made.

Residents choose from our private, comfortable rooms with gorgeous views of the sea and mountains. Spacious living rooms, and a large dining room with views of the sea all around create a warm and comfortable space for reading, resting and enjoying the company of your fellow artists.

The large fully equipped kitchen is shared among residents. We offer “hot pot” style tub, pool and sauna. Internet and laundry, linens and towels are provided.

Our Residency is open to the full range of writers and visual artists. We have also hosted artists working in muli-media, digital media, textiles, installations and composers. We are open If you are working somewhere beyond these categories please inquire and we will strive to accomodate.

We offer a spacious shared studio. Private workspace varies by bedroom selection. Our property also includes re-purposed barn, stable and riding hall, which are available for a variety of artist’s uses. Our Residents have also made good use of our nearly 4000 acres of exterior “workspace”, a terrain of mountain, valley, pasture, waterfalls, streams, and lighthouse.

Fees are based on room choice, and range from €1350-€1650, single occupancy. Our fee structure can accomodate couples/colaborative pairs, families, and shortened stays. After acceptance a $250 nonrefundable deposit secures your choice of room and program. Remaining Residency fee must be paid six weeks before arrival.

Artists take care of their own expenses for transportation, meals, and art supplies. We provide pick up from Ísafjörður airport for an additional fee.

We place no expectations on our Residents. We invite you to take the time and space needed to transition from the outside world and find inspiration in the extraordinary solitude, silence and space we offer. Joining in our community connections and outreach is of course encouraged but never required.
