What the official page says.

Quoted from arts.illinois.gov and checked on 24 August 2026. This is the organiser's description, reproduced as captured. It has not been through the evidence checks that produced the figures above.

The Illinois Arts Council's Creative Accelerator Fund gives a $10,000 taxable award to individual artists with an active and sustained practice. The portal opens September 2 and closes October 14, 2026 at 11:59pm. Unusually, recipients are chosen by randomised applicant selection run with the Illinois State Lottery; applicants submit work samples from 2024 to 2026 and from 2023 or earlier.
