arthereistanbul is launching its Custom-Made Residency Program and welcomed the first residents since 2015. These residencies of one to three months (or more) can be for research, reflection, project’s writing or development, without the pressure of production. The Custom-Made Residency Program is opened to artists, researchers, curators, writers, from all backgrounds and all kind of experience in various disciplines of arts and culture.

The project and its adequacy with arthereistanbul’s vision and territory will determine the participation in our residency program. The purpose of this Custom-Made Residency Program is to allow artists / researchers / curators / art professionals to work on the first steps of their project. This can consist of writing a first draft, leading a research, looking for archives, gathering elements for an art project, or work on a small production.

A custom made package is put together for each artist or group of artists. There can be an individual accompaniment by artehereistanbul team and other external specialists, if required for the artistic work process. arthereistanbul team can also offer her support and advice on administrative matters and help in finding partners. APPLICATION PROCESS / Selection: – Send us an email to check the availability calendar or receive the application form or download it from our resartis´ page; – Fill in the application form and send it along with the requested documents; Terms and conditions: Please do not send any deposit before your project idea has been officially approved.

Since our physical and managerial capacity has limits, once we select a project we count on your commitment to stay as long as you declare in you application. Reservations are completed when 30% of the total fee is transferred to arthereistanbul. This is non-refundable. The rest is due to be paid upon the arrival to the residency. Accommodation

Accommodation in Kadiköy, in the neighborhood of Rasimpasa, nearly arthereistanbul and the studio space, which consist of a two rooms of 20 – 30 sqm in a shared flat of 85 to 110 sqm of living space, well equiped kitchen, and all neccessary services like: hot wateer – heating – washing machine – TV – Satellite service – shower – toilet – terrace overlooking istanbul sea side, internet access. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance arthereistanbul welcome all type of modern and contemporary art from painting to Media art, Music to photography, performance art, writing, curating and research topics.Work equipment and services: Exhibition space – work studios – 3D printers, electronics, new media Lab – Wood working tools, – Basic office material (papers, markers, tape…), – Technical material (cables, speakers, beamer, screen, projector, video players – DVD/blueray, midi keyboard, etc), – non-professional printer, Music room equipments, Darkroom equipments– internet access.

Studio / Workspace arthere consist of four floors with back garden, resident enjoy a shared Studio space of 60 sqm on the upper level, and another of 25 sqm. our exhibition space is on on the ground floor which overlook the street and used as exhibition and working space. in the basement, we have a well equipped music room, shower / toilet in addition to a darkroom, fully equipped which lead to the garden for outdoor activities which include a small room for varied tools.On the forth floor we have our New media Lab (3 printers, electronics, tools) in addition to storing space for equipments and paintings and a 25 sqm working studio.
